New York, the city that never sleeps; New York, so good they named it twice: Even if you’ve never been we all have an idea of what New York is going to be like, and it doesn’t let you down. So much to see and do and so much to eat. Here’s a run-down of just 10 of the many celebrity restaurants to visit in New York (if you can get a reservation that is!)

The Spotted Pig: April Bloomfield was born in Birmingham (UK) and one of only 10 women in the US to hold a Michelin star, she now has two. One was gained at this gastro pub, and it’s not just the chef who’s famous – investors include Jay-Z and Bono.

Maze by Gordon Ramsay: Serving modern European cuisine people flock to Ramsay’s NY offering – for the food and to catch a glimpse of the straight-talking English man of the Kitchen Nightmares series.

Morimoto: East meets West at this Meatpacking District eatery. Executive chef Masaharu Morimoto, star of Iron Chef and former chef at Nobu, combines Japanese classics with Western flavour.

Red Rooster: This Harlem soul-food-with-a-twist joint is the brainchild of Marcus Samuelsson, an Ethiopian born, Swedish raised chef who is taking New York by storm. So much so that people to travel way Uptown to eat.
